Your mom and I made the trip back to Fresno this weekend to help celebrate the second birthday of our great friends Marshall and Laura's son, Roscoe. It is entirely cliche but entirely true that these kids are growing up
so fast. We remember when Laura was pregnant with Roscoe and Marshall was announcing the news to folks where we used to work together. Two years is both a remarkably long and remarkably short amount of time.

"Well, howdy ma'am." We helped set up a bit before the kids and their families arrived. |

The party had a Western theme so Laura got all the kids cowboy hats and neckerchiefs to wear for the evening. |
 |
She also constructed an entire Western style town out of big boxes. The town included a saloon, a jail, and this bank, where Hazel is informing Roscoe that she cannot adjust his mortgage rate. |

These kids know how to have fun. |

The parents try their best to get a group photo, but it was a monumental task. |

After the traditional photo slideshow for his second year, Hazel helped Roscoe blow out his candle. |

The next morning, after a long night filled with catching up, reminiscing, and philosophizing, we relaxed for a bit before heading back home. Hazel's well on her way to being a four year-old and Roscoe is now working on three. |
