Sacramento Show with April

Your mom and I had April up from Fresno this weekend to visit and go see a show in Sacramento. It was really nice that she was able to visit us in Davis so soon after our move, and it was a delight to have a familiar face around in our new home.

We started the day by checking out the Davis Farmer's Market, which was a big collection of local grocers and other sellers offering some cool stuff. We ended up getting some cool cheese and fresh strawberries.
Two beautiful ladies. Two cool gals.
We haven't had much chance to explore Sacramento yet, but now that we live minutes away, we'll have all kinds of opportunities, the first of which being this jaunt into downtown to show April around some vintage shops.
Peas in a pod, I swear.
Later that night we went back into Midtown for the Fierce Creatures show, which was opened by this great band originally from the east coast but now headed out of San Francisco, the aptly named Coast Jumper.
April and Nathaniel, the bass player and agent for Fierce Creatures.
April and Amanda here, the singer for Fierce Creatures, have become good friends and we've gotten to know her and some of the other bandmates through April, as well, which has been a lot of fun.
After midnight when the show wrapped up, we headed back into Davis for a late night noodle bar experience. It was a great day and a great night.
