The road from hell to Florence Lake

Your mom and I got a bit adventurous, almost getting in over our head on Kaiser Pass Road, an unpaved, rocky, and hilly pass which cuts through the Sierra Nevada mountains. It was brutal! We fought off motion sickness on the way there and swatted at mosquitoes once we got there. Sometimes it's hard work exploring nature!

We passed by the nearby Huntington Lake, where the summer regatta was on.
Along the way, we had to take some breaks and enjoy the scenery, like this meadow.
The Sierra Nevada mountain range on full display.
We can't resist looking around these meadows!
This is Florence Lake, the end of the brutal road. It was peaceful and pretty, but we admitted to ourselves we were anxious to get home, so we didn't stay long.
