Your mom and I got a bit adventurous, almost getting in over our head on Kaiser Pass Road, an unpaved, rocky, and hilly pass which cuts through the Sierra Nevada mountains. It was brutal! We fought off motion sickness on the way there and swatted at mosquitoes once we got there. Sometimes it's hard work exploring nature!

| This is Florence Lake, the end of the brutal road. It was peaceful and pretty, but we admitted to ourselves we were anxious to get home, so we didn't stay long. |
