London: Portobello Market!

Your mom and I didn't have to trek far to visit the charming Notting Hill neighborhood and the nearby Portobello Market.

Gorgeous white stone exteriors and those pillars made for a quintessential English street.
And I had, of course, another full English breakfast with a pint of Guinness. Heavenly.
Stumper & Fielding was one of the standout clothing shops we visited. They were stacked high with classic English tweeds and flannel patterns, Oxford shoes, scarves galore.
The Highland Store next door was nothing but genuine Scottish tartan pattern clothes.
The market was much like the ones we're used to from home, with seasonal produce everywhere.

Of course we're never far from a beautifully appointed lunch spot.

The day was a slower one, and we were definitely feeling tired after a week of hoofing it all over London.
So we made an early evening and enjoyed some classic English sitcoms at the flat.
I never knew English coins did this, with all the pence pieces coming together in the coat of arms represented on the pound piece. Neat!
