A rainy day in San Francisco

Your mom and I spent another fun night in San Francisco, just settling into a cool bar and talking and people-watching. The hotel we picked had some history for us, as it was the same one we stayed in during out very first trip to San Francisco together before your mom moved to California to be with me.

We spent the whole evening in Ghirardelli Square, where one of our first stops out of the rain was this cute cupcake shop.

We happened to be there the same night the San Francisco Giants won the pennant and locked up their appearance at the World Series. The bar was full of baseball fans rejoicing! 

The place was wild, but we kept ourselves good company.

It was a wet but peaceful night, and nostalgic walk back to the hotel.
