At our apartment complex there are a lot of little neighbors that probably go overlooked by most. Your mom and I adore these little guys, plodding along slowly but surely to wherever. We both find it incredibly sad when we find the remnants of one who was stepped on, so we often pluck them off the sidewalk and place them safely in the lawn or the garden beds.
