Your mom and I hosted Matt, our good friend from Fresno, for the weekend. We showed him around Davis and introduced him to the couple people we've had some fun with since we've been here. It's always a treat to have someone visit us from our old hometown.

| After picking Matt up from the train station, we went straight to Sarah's place to cook some dinner. Your mom and Sarah did an amazing job preparing some kebabs for the grill. |

| Your mom and Matt first met in class at Fresno City College in 2007, after her very first semester there. |

| Nate manned the grill and, with help from a lot of help from sea salt, cooked the kebabs to perfection. They were excellent! |

| Sarah loves tea, and she treated us to some good stuff to wind the evening down. |

| The next day your mom had a blast learning from Matt's expertise in pie making. |

| The results were a hit with everyone who was lucky enough to get a taste. |

| We finished the weekend at the local microbrewery in Davis, Sudwerk, where Matt samples the wares. |
