Easter at the Sacramento Zoo

Your mom and I took your Grandpa Gene to the Sacramento Zoo today. We're trying to see more of what this part of the state has to offer, and the thought of checking out the zoo struck us suddenly. It turned out to be a blast and we got some great photos of some of the animals living there. It's going to be great taking you to a zoo one day.

We have a soft spot for cats, and this leopard was particularly pretty.
This long-eared and whiskered pig is called a Red River Hog.
This chimpanzee was striking a very contemplative pose, thinking about something, I'm sure.

We didn't get a good look at this Red Panda, but your mom has a real affinity for these cute little guys.
We also have a real adoration for otters. This is an American River Otter, wet right after a dip through a pond.
A majestic lioness watched us back.
A brilliant flamingo.
