Quick trip to Sonora

Your mom and I hit the road again for another quick day trip, this time to the area of Sonora, an old-fashioned little collection of towns north of here and in the hills. We always get a kick out of the quaint.

Evidence of American industrial history and times long past are everywhere in towns like this.
The green Lake McClure is an interesting sight not far from these little towns.
We toured a dusty, run down cemetery and found this very touching carved poem, one which told the tragic but ultimately very loving tale of two long-time partners in life. Stories begin and end, every day.
We always enjoy finding little nooks like this for lunch when we're visiting these places.
The local vineyards were in bloom, and we couldn't help but sneak into one to take a look at the young grapes.
