Santa Cruz and the Mystery House

Your mom and I spent Memorial Day this year in Santa Cruz, a very distinct coastal town with a vintage sort of architectural charm and a real hippie flair to it. It also tends to be very crowded, but that could be because we tend to visit in on holidays.

We like to stop in Casa de Fruta, a huge farmer's market, on the way to the coast.
The Winchester company has an interesting and somewhat morbid history.
The Mystery House was indeed bizarre, full of doors to nowhere, useless windows, and secret passageways.
Your mom on Santa Cruz beach.
We had a sunset dinner at this cute restaurant on the pier.
The tablecloths were paper and they gave us some crayons to mess around with. While your mom contributed a host of creative doodles, the best I could come up with was a rock. At least it's shaded!
The end of another wonderful outing with your mom.
