First trip to Yosemite!

Your mom and I made our first trip to the beautiful Yosemite National Park today, and it was splendid. Early summer or late spring is a wonderful time to see this place, which is likely to be our favorite park for a long time.

One of our first sights was the stream flowing from the base of Bridalveil Falls. It was rushing for this time of year, which means that the winter before provided much snow.
And this is the roaring Bridalveil Falls. If you stand under here for too long, you get soaked, because it feels like it's constantly raining. You'll see, when we show you : )
From Yosemite Valley you get a great view of upper Yosemite Falls .
This was my first take on the the classic "tunnel view," a view made famous by a historic photographer Ansel Adams, and still my favorite vista anywhere I've ever been.
